OUR STORY - We are a non-profit organization that recognizes creatives. We showcase filmmaker’s works from around the world at our annual festival in Chisholm, Minnesota. We realized that we have the means, mentorship and access to equipment and industry professionals to help young filmmakers see their project on the big screen.
WHAT WE DO - We developed a Cinematic Arts Program for young filmmakers looking to expand their knowledge of the art of filmmaking from script development to final cut. We are lucky to have industry professionals in our area that generously offer their time and expertise to our mentees, which gives us the opportunity to offer 1:1 mentoring. This is a learn-by-doing program, and our projects are all hands-on.
OUR MENTEES - We welcome all walks of life that are interested in making films. Our typical class of mentees consists of high school students that come to us via referral or have volunteered or attended a past festival.
HOW YOU CAN HELP - Volunteer to be a Mentor! Donate or allow our program access to your professional equipment (lights, sound equipment, edit bay, cameras, costumes, props, etc.).
OUR LEGACY - Past mentees include graduates from NYU Film School, USC Film School, Chapman University, Dodge College of Media Arts, Sarah Lawrence/Prague Film School, and current attendees at Savannah College of Art and Design, University of Texas at Austin, and University of Oregon.
Interested in applying? Drop us a line, tell us your favorite movie, and you're in. We will get back to you with program details. It's as easy as that. Everyone is welcome!
